Behind The Scenes: Making A Music Video
April 27, 2007
This week, Sara shot a music video out on location in the California desert for "Dear Someone" off her brand new album Return To You.
The video shoot was INCREDIBLE! I couldn't have imagined a more perfect location or team on this project. The first day we filmed on location at Club Ed (where today they are filming "The Biggest Loser"???), which was fabulous. Ben, our director of photography, did an amazing job and actually created this light cover that made it so I had a little white heart in my eye. Probably not visible on film, but a neat thing anyway. :) We all got a little sun burned, and eaten by fire ants, but it was an amazing day.
The second day (yesterday), we got up early (4:30am) to make it to the desert to catch the morning sun. Ben and Andrew (director) had scouted an old abandoned road and we filmed it guerilla style! :) It worked beautifully, and the vintage mustang I borrowed from Matt's girlfriend was just perdect. We even got a shot of our DP, Ben, strapped to the hood of the car while moving! He was nuts and insisted on it... :) Lot's of sunscreen didn't prevent everyone from getting a little more coloring at 5,000 feet.

Return To You will be available in stores and online June 5. You can pre-order it now on Amazon.com.
